This musical elements take precedence than praising and worshiping the Lord through chanting. Arunagirinathar, who appeared in the 8th century AD and taught Murugan to chant, is credited with introducing the chant to the Tamil music world. Arunagiri is better known as ‘Chandappavalar Peruman’. No one created like it as he used the chants in his Thiruppugalz. But some of the Musi cal personalities who originated this musical style in Tamil music have followed Arunagirinathar and found success in manipulating in their works. Although many poets have come to Tamil Nadu in this way, other religions have taken the turning point of Arunagirinathar as the guide to their works beyond the confines of religion. Varagasim Puluvar, a convert to Islam, was the foremost in this regard. He also wrote literary works like Arunakiri.
